"Rick's Story..."

LCPL Rick Z. James
Richard Zachary James was born November 4, 1985 to Kenneth and Carol James of Seaford. He was welcomed home by a sister Tina and a brother Jeff. Rick was very active, loved people and could always make you laugh. He also loved to harass his little brother Jonathan. Rick had so much energy and was very involved in sports, church, school and with his family. He played soccer, basketball and baseball for the city until he was old enough to play for the Seaford Christian Academy. Rick signed up for the Marines the day after he turned 18. He graduated from the Christian Academy May 2004 then entered the Marines in June. He was trained as a machine gunner and was deployed to Iraq from January until August 2005. While home on leave he bought a truck, went fishing, spent much time with friends and his girlfriend Megan, and visited his little nephew, Caleb in Florida. To Rick's delight Caleb was as ornery and energetic as he was! He went back to Iraq a second time in March 2006. Rick entered Heaven on May 13, 2006 while fighting the War on Terror.
